Check out that feature to see where it landed. Choose your flair by clicking the edit button directly above! I got lucky with Trails of Cold Steel in that the checks for master quartz were kind of hard coded and I stumbled upon them.

The other most common gripe, that the user interface was based on the touch-screen mobile version, wasn't mentioned among these changes. At the very least, I think that whatever they put their efforts towards is going to be of considerable longterm value.

Looks like there's a beta branch on steamdb now. Very curious to see if an official patch actually emerges. People often talk about Nier A as an example of Square's shitty patching practices, but now that I think about it, that's pretty much the only game they haven't patched lately, right. Around the same time there was some movement on steamdb, but that was months ago now. I don't know what you are seeing, but there's nothing in steamdb after the February 2017 patch that would suggest that, doesn't look like they were planning anything. I honestly don't know a whole lot about steamdb, so my apologies if that was wrong information. I guess they didn't base that on anything substantial then. I wouldn't have been surprised though, updating it felt logical to me. Two current versions of the same game, one of them got recent support and one didn't. I wouldn't have been surprised though, updating it felt logical to me. Two current versions of the same game, one of them got recent support and one didn't. I suppose there's always hope, chrono trigger steam did also roll out these Chrono Chrono trigger steam updates to the mobile versions of the game, so they are not strangers to updating older games. Even with updates that no one wanted. It's really nice to see the modding community get behind this, but it's also frustrating that it was needed in the first place. The fact that the community, over the span of a week or so, were able to greatly improve the visual quality of this port while Square-Enix themselves seemingly couldn't or wouldn'tspeaks volumes. That said yeah this is how I will continue to play the game, just snes9x or bsnes on the original rom. Plus I like the scanlines options the emulators have. Finnicking around in a pc version to get the same enabled across the library of snes or other platform games is just too much when emulating is so readily available. You're losing clarity compared to the default image, no doubt, it's definitely blurrier, but I'd argue you're actually gaining detail at the same time. A bunch of darker colored pixels suddenly become nice looking shadows, a few white pixels give the illusion of some kind of bloom effect. By making the image smoother and blending the pixels together, you end up with more consistent looking materials. I'd say it's a good trade off. Ideally, you'd get both more detail and more clarity, but that's not how pixel art works.

At that point they just didn't want to leave the other, more popular games out and probably saw the already existing ports as a quick and easy profit, and already had all the licensing in place to do so. What do I get in the limited edition? This mockup of Chrono Break is the work of pixel artist Simon Andersen, who created Owlboy and worked on this project as a way to wind down from its long development. It's in the Inventory Editor. People who purchase Chrono Trigger before April 2 will receive a small set of digital bonuses, such as a couple soundtrack samplers and wallpapers.
